PROF. DR. VLADO POPOVSKI (1995-1999)

Prof.Dr. Vlado Popovski was born on 21.09.1941 in the village of D.Dupeni, Prespa, THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA. He completed his elementary education in Shtip, and gymnasium and Faculty of Law in Skopje. He completed his master’s studies in Skopje on the thesis: "Political institutions of old Greece". His doctor’s degree was on the thesis: "The constitutions in the Macedonian national liberation movement as an indicator of its statehood character", thereby acquiring the doctor’s degree in historical sciences. He has been elected as: an Assistant and Scholarly Associate at the Institute of Sociological and Political-Legal Researches in Skopje; Associate Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje; and Associate Professor and Full Professor at the Faculty of Law on Skopje. He has been the Minister of Defence, Minister of Justice, and Director (founder) of the THE INTELLIGENCE AGENCY of the THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA. In 1991 he was a member of the Expert Team that drafted the text of the Constitution of the THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA. Source: Faculty of Law

DR. ALEKSA STAMENKOVSKI (1999-2000)

Aleksa Stamenkovski was born on 11 January 1952 in Vitolishta, Prilep. He graduated from the Faculty of Economy in Skopje in 1974. In 1986 he completed his master’s studies in the field of marketing at the Faculty of Economy in Skopje. He acquired his title of doctor of economy in 1992 also at the Faculty of Economy in Skopje. He has twenty-nine years of working experience in the field of administrative affairs related with defence, its budgeting, planning, management and strategic planning. During this period he has worked as the head of a division for defence planning, Advisor and Assistant to the Republican Secretary of Defence, Vice Secretary in the Ministry of Defence, an Advisor in the Government of the THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA, Deputy Director and Director of the THE INTELLIGENCE AGENCY, Head of the Crisis Management Centre and Professor at the Military Academy and the Faculty of Philosophy – Institute for Defence and Peace Studies (Visiting Professor). In 2005 he was elected as Professor at the European University of the THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA - Skopje, where he is currently the Vice President of the European University. Dragi Grozdanovski was born in 1957 in Bitola. He completed the Faculty of Law. Grozdanovski was a representative from the VMRO-DPMNE ranks in the first composition of the Parliament, was the Chairman of the Council of the Bitola Municipality and at the same time coordinator of the Municipal Committee of VMRO-DPMNE in Bitola. He carried out the office of the Director of the THE INTELLIGENCE AGENCY twice – in the period from March 2000 to February 2002 and from May 2003 to September 2004. DOSTA DIMOVSKA (2002-2003)

Dosta Dimovska was born in Skopje, on 17 February 1954. He graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje, where later on she worked as an expert associate. She was a representative in the Assembly of RM from 1991 to 1994, and at the same time was the chairman of the Parliamentary Commission for International Relations. In 1998 Dimovska was elected as the Vice Prime Minister in the Cabinet of Ljubcho Georgievski. From 27 December 1999 to 13 May 2001 she was the Minister of the Interior of Macedonia. On 25 February 2002 she was appointed as the Director of the THE INTELLIGENCE AGENCY, and she left the office on 5 May 2003. In early 2007 Dimovska was appointed as the Director of the Cultural Information Centre of Macedonia in Sofia, Bulgaria. She carried out this office until March 2010 and, after suffering brain hemorrhage, she passed away in Sofia, on 4 April 2011. Source: Internet and Wikipedia

DR. LAZAR KITANOVSKI (2004-2006)

Lazar Kitanoski was born on 25.04.1948 in Ohrid. He completed his elementary and secondary education and the Faculty of Law in Skopje. In 1981 he acquired his master’s degree, and in 1995 acquired his doctor’s degree in the field of sociological-politicological sciences. In 1991, Prof.Dr. Lazar Kitanoski participated in the working group that drafted the concept and the text of the working version of the first Constitution of the independent THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA. In 2001 he took part in the Ohrid talks which created political conditions for putting an end to the conflict in the THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA. He has been a consultant in a number of legal projects and member of the legal council of the Government of the THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA. In the period from 1997 to 2006 he was engaged in projects related to the Euro-Atlantic integrations of the THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA, in particular in the field of security and defence. He carried out the following state functions: Minister of Defence in the Government of the THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA (1997-1998), a representative in the Assembly of the THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA (1998-2002), National Security Advisor to the President of the Government of the THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA (2002-2004), National Security Advisor to the President of the THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA (in 2004), Director of the THE INTELLIGENCE AGENCY (2004-2006) and a representative in the Assembly of the THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA (2006-2008). Kire Naumov was born on 10.01.1971. In 1995 he graduated from the Faculty of Economy, and in 1998 completed his postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Economy, Belgrade, Serbia. From 1996 to 1997 he was an Assistant in the Financing and Control Sector in the Agency for Transformation of Public Enterprises with Social Capital, and in 1997 was an Assistant at the Faculty of Economy. From March 2003 to April 2004 he was an Economic Advisor to the Prime Minister of the THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA, and as of May 2004 and Economic Advisor to the President of RM. From 21 July 2006 to 29 August 2007 he carried out the office of the Director of the THE INTELLIGENCE AGENCY. Source: Internet

Viktor Dimovski was born on 26 May 1959 in Bitola, THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA. 1978-1982 he graduated from the Faculty of Law in Skopje. 1995 to 1996 he advanced his education at the National School for Administration (L‘ENA) - Paris, France. 1982 - 1995 he worked at the Ministry of the Interior, and 1996-2003 worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs performing the following functions: 1996-1998 Assistant Minister – Head of the Sector for the Balkans; 1998-2001 Assistant Minister – Head of the Sector for Southeast Europe; 2001-2003 State Councilor; 1998-2000 National Coordinator of the THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA for CEI; 1999-2000 Chairman of the Macedonian team in the Joint Diplomatic and Expert Commission for the Definition of the state border between the THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA and Federal Republic of Yugoslavia; 1999-2003 National Coordinator of the THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA for SECI; 2000-2001 Chairman of the Committee of SEECP Political Directors; 2003-2007 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA to Serbia and Montenegro; 2004-2007 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA to the State of Israel (resident in Belgrade). Aleksandar Bocinov was born in Pula. He completed the Faculty of Political Sciences. He worked in the Sector for Military Intelligence at the ministry of Defence. He was appointed as the Director of the THE INTELLIGENCE AGENCY on 10.06.2009. He came to the position of the Director of AR from the Security and Counterintelligence Directorate. Source: Internet
