A great number of people have contributed for the Intelligence Agency to become a modern intelligence service, resistant to influences. Unfortunately, some of them are no longer among us to see the fruits of their labour. Thus, we who have learned from them always remind ourselves of their professionalism, dedication and selflessness. These principles should also be guiding us in the future.
A new chapter in the Intelligence Agency history is the adoption of the new Law. It sublimates the determinations we share with NATO and the EU. If we have learned in the past about which values we should possess, now, as a NATO member, we are applying them in practice. Another especially significant benefit of the new Law is the increase of the wages and the improvement of the conditions for retirement. The law resulted in obligations and reforms that we implemented. We introduced changes in the functioning and we are building a teamwork spirit. We became visible and acknowledged in our community and among the NATO partners for the quality of our information.
It is necessary for us to strive for our information and analyses to influence the decision making process of strategic interest and the creation of a policy for protection of the national security. We will enhance the system of values of the Agency and we will focus on the training of new generations. We will also continue to raise awareness about the need for gender equality and female leadership.
Dear colleagues,
This is a special day for all of us, a day when we celebrate the rise of our institution.
Congratulations on our anniversary and let as all experience many more successes together.
